Just as water cascades over tea leaves to release aroma and delicate flavor, the mixed-movement artistry of Budokon Yoga awakens the fluidity and subtle grace of the human body.
Join us for an evening of Budokon Yoga and Sacred Tea Ceremony. Budokon, “the Way of the Peaceful Warrior,” is a distinctive movement arts practice blending yoga and martial arts into a hypnotic dance of strength and coordination. Live percussion and flute soundscapes will be crafted by Tom Cowan. All levels are welcome.
Our teacher, Jamie Harris, has been teaching Budokon since 2013 and met his wife, Nicole, at his first Budokon teacher training in Miami. Nicole will pour tea around the communal table, guiding intentional connection, and sharing comedy, poetry, and fun facts from the history of tea.
