About the event

The Hidden Therapist: How Music Shapes Mindfulness & Psychedelic Experiences

Presented by Alon Yizhak, MA, MT-BC, PLPC

Music has long been understood as the “hidden therapist” in psychedelic-assisted therapy, shaping emotional depth, mental imagery, and the personal meaning of the experience. It also serves as a powerful mindfulness practice, anchoring attention in the present moment, enhancing emotional awareness, and fostering a sense of connection to others and attunement to inner experience. In this talk, we will get to experience music as a mindfulness tool and discuss its role as a powerful ally in supporting the psychedelic journey.
